If you currently produce your food from your home kitchen, then you should know that, in order to obtain sanitary registration in Panama, MINSA requires that the place of production be formally authorized as a food plant. This implies having a formal notice of operation and company, Sanitary Operating Permit of the premises, adequate facilities that comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (hygiene, pest control, drinking water, equipment in good condition, separate areas, etc.) and a suitable technical manager. Only after formalizing the plant before MINSA can the sanitary registration of each product be requested.
